....the kind of dog I'm looking for?

Hi, my name is Abi and I'm based in the Berkshire/Middlesex area.  My partner and I are huge fans of Labs, I've not owned one myself but his family have always had them and since spending many a weekend looking after their dogs I've joined the club so to speak!

We're both very keen to get a dog but since I've never bought one before I'm a bit lost as to where to start.  We wouldn't be interested in showing the dog or using it in the professional "gun dog" sense, all we want is a friendly, intelligent and playful dog that we can give an fun and loving home to. 

The breeding is important in regards to health and personality but other than that we are not fussed how well regarded the parents are.  We just want a happy Lab to enjoy spending our time with.

The only stipulation I do have is the colour.  I know this may seem trivial to most but my partner has always had yellows and now has a real soft spot for the choc colour.

We would be looking to have the new addition towards the end of May, beginning of June 2005 if possible.
