Topic Other Boards / Foo / Another tumble dryer question!

I have just seen an advert for 'dryerballs'.  They look like wee spikey balls, you put them in your tumble dryer with your clothes and they claim to soften fabric, reduce drying time - by 25% and make ironing easy.  I seem to remember years ago someone told me that they put two tennis balls in their tumble dryer with the clothes - but I can't remember why!  Has anyone tried putting tennis balls in their tumble dryer or 'dryerballs'? Did you notice any difference?

I have never tried it. The newer dryers have a reversedry action ( going one way then the other) so they tend to get the clothes thrown out a good bit anyway.   Me, I personally wouldn't both BUT if you do let us know ;-)

PS the only thing about tennis balls you would need to watch colour didn't come off them with the heat :-))

tennis balls are recommended if you are drying down filled jackets etc.
