I am finding it hard work trying to find a Cavalier puppy.DOG BROWN AND WHITE.
We have a good home and request any member who can contact me please on my mobile to discuss. Plenty of area to walk dog as we live by Cannock Chase and regularly go to our Caravan in Borth.
This is a special present for the wife and i am trying to obtain him before her birhtday on mAY 2ND 2005.Please contact me on 07977 007 803. I must give you my mobile as i dont want the wife to know.
Thanks

I have cavaliers & even though you plan the puppy for her birthday present I would counsell you not to do so. A better idea is what I did for my father, he wanted another dog so I found a breeder who had Cavaliers that I liked & gave my father an IOU for the puppy. It took me 2  1/2 years to get the right puppy for him & they are now devoted to each other & the wait made him that extra bit special. I'm not saying you will have to wait that long for a puppy as my father wanted me to show his dog for him so I had to wait to get a showable puppy

I would suggest that you do some research into the breed as the colour you want is called Blenheim(after Blenheim Palace where the colour was orginally bred).

Contact the parent Cavalier Club they will have a puppy list of their members litters.

There is also lots of health information on the site

Health checks & advice for Cavaliers are
1.Heart must be tested & certified clear within the last year & the breeder should have copies of both mother & father's certificates
2.Eyes must be tested &certified clear within the last year & this has to be done by a BVA/ISDS/KC pannellist & again copies of the certificates should be available
3.Both mother & father should be screened by MRI scan & certified clear of Syringohydromyelia(oput th eterm into any search information), again this has to be done by a specializt & again copies of the certificates should be available
4.Ideally both parents should have been X rayed & scored for Hip Dyplasia again copies of the certificates should be available
5.Both Parents should over 2 1/2 years of age at the date of mating
6.The dogs should also not be line bred to the same dogs on both sides of the pedigree

There are lots of people breeding cavaliers(sadly some on this site's breeders list)who disregard some or all of the above & I would advise you not to buy a puppy from such a breeder

Best of luck finding your special dog
