Hi, im getting a new puppy in a couple of weeks and was wondering what sort of bed to get for it. Obviously a hard plastic one would be practical, but is not exactly cosy for the poor thing, also, should i buy a large bed and let the puppy grow into it, or should i buy lots of beds as it gets bigger? help please!

You can buy little doggy duvets or fleecy pads to add into the hard beds :)
The hard ones last longer if you have a *chewer* lol

Im picking up my pup on Saturday and to begin with, its a cardboard box with blankets, until he is old enough for the bed. Which will be a hand me down from Bradley.

Hi jessmonty,
Our dog has 3 beds :-) He has a soft doughnut one with snoopy on which is washable and one of the fibre filled flat beds with a washable waterproof cover on and one of the hard plastic ones. I think out of the 3 of them he seems to prefer the hard plastic one with a couple of fleecy blankets in. I got these really nice soft thick fleecy dog blankets from argos a few months back and they are great to wash and are dry in no time and they are black with dog pawprints on. They were only about £5.99 each I think and I have 3 of them.

I dont think mine has ever had a 'basket'
Its a cardboard box when tiny & then sofas & beds when bigger!
When the pup is young it will chew up its bed anyway

I agree, cardboard box with blanket and paper at first then our bed after!
