Is it ok to give dogs fruit, as mine love apples and pears and get some everyday.

All fruit is fine for dogs bar grapes, mine get fed all sorts and particularly love fruit and yoghurt smoothies! :D

Thanks for that, I was pretty sure they were ok on fruit my only worry was reading peoples posts on the barf diet nobody mentioned fruit just veg. My three cavaliers love fruit they also love carrots, thay are not on the barf diet they are on a complete but I do like to supplement it with raw meat, veg and fruit.

Did anyone watch Eastenders this week and notice Pauline Fowler feeding her little dog, Betty, grapes from the fruitbowl!?!

Grapes ahve been linked to probglems as have raisins, but it appears to be a mold that causes the problem.  The odd grape won't hurt a dgo and mine often get a few, but maybe just best avoided.

Mine would sell their soul for Bananas!!!

yep ours too its her party trick to peel the banana before she eats it !!!

Amused by your reply Brainless I've just shared my lunchtime banana with mine who were perplexed and not too impressed with banana.  They aren't greedy at the best of times so licked, spat, then eventually ate banana with "a look" (saying what the heck is this?).

I've got a grapevine in my conservatory that yeilds several hundred bunches of grapes a year, and more in the garden too.  Mine eat grapes regularly and I don't worry but do heed the warnings offered here.

My old Spanish loves it when I do my fruit smoothies, she stands by her bowl waiting for me to pour some in their.  Anton loves banana's too :d   Oh and apples and pears !

well I offered Kobi a bit of my banana after reading this earlier, I think he was quite impressed as he decided to run round the house at some speed with it, knocking over the lillies my OH bought for me yesterday, and then knocked through the safety gate on the stairs and bounded upstairs to eat it under the bed where I couldn't reach him! So I think bananas are a hit but next time I think he might be crated before he gets any!

Mine love bananas, and they have half each every morning - the younger one also loves apples, melon, youghurts, oranges - but bananas are definitely their favourite.

We call Callia (14 weeks now) our little fruit bat because she will "mug" us whenever we have any kind of fruit, (excluding harmful ones) and seems to enjoy it as much as her RMBs :)
