Hi there,
There is a breeder in Farrington Oxfordshire, who breeds westies, puppies costing £450.
admin note: details snipped please email the poster direct
However £450 is fairly expensive for a westie and i've seen them advertised for £300, so look around!!! They are a lovely dog, i had one for 12 years and he was lovely in everyway and broght a lot of joy to my family! Good Luck...

Hi Lara.
I always say that you only travel to your new puppy once or maybe twice (or in the case of my puppy buyers once each week!) but if you buy from the wrong place, you'll live with that mistake for the next 12 years!
I don't think that £450 is too much to pay for a carefully bred, well reared Westie puppy. All breeds have their problems and Westies with bad skin can be V E R Y expensive, so it could be better to pay a little more from a knowledgable breeder, than to buy from an inexperinced puppy producer and have 12 years of expensive veterinary treatment and grief ahead.
Good luck in your search, Christina!

£300 is WAY to cheap for a Westie puppy from an established experienced breeder - you should be expecting to pay more like £400-£500. You get what you pay for and £300 is not enough. Puppies at this price may be from a commercial breeder, a hobby breeder who may not be experienced enough to rear the puppies well/advise you or even from a puppy farm. Buy your puppy from a specialist ( only breeds one breed) breeder, and who preferably only breeds a few litters a year, who will support you with help and advice all through the dogs life. A breeder that has puppies available most of the time is not a good place to buy.
