I have a beautiful 16 week old Dobe pup, who has had feeding problems since I have had him, he was weaned on science plan complete, but developed chronic diarrhoea, after many trips to the vets and many tests it was found to to be diet based colitits. He was weaned of science plan and on to nature diet puppy, but it still happened, I couldn,t work out what he was having difficulties with in his food, untill one day I dropped an egg on the floor and he lapped it up before i could get to it. Well the next day! the poor pup did not stop poohing, blood and mucas was in every stool, so on checking the ingredients of nature diet puppy I saw it had egg in it. I rang nature diet and told them the probs i was having they said try him on the nature diet adult chicken and rice (no egg)  again I had probs!!!!! this time nature diet said prehaps the levels of protein were to high and add extra brown rice to his feeds. Hurray I now have a pup who is not poohing all the time, although his stools can sometimes be to soft, overall I have seen a great improvment.

I don,t think my pup is getting all the right things for his growth, but due to his sensitivity, i really don,t know what else I should be giving him to give him the nutrients he needs does anybody have any suggestions? Or should I just leave well alone!

By the way he has a beatfuil coat and seems to growing well
