When we got our lovely Poppy, we were given a photocopy of the hip scores for both parents. Is it possible for me to check anywhere if these are a true copy and if any other tests were done and the results. is is there a public register that these results are published?
This isn't that I don't trust the breeder or that Icouldn't go back about other tests, but I was just wondering if there is another way to find out!!
Thanks
Alexis

I think the Kennel Club publishes all hipscores in the relevant issue (according to the date the plates were assessed) of the Kennel Gazette.

I thought it was the Breed Record Supplement rather than the Kennel Gazette?

It should also be recorded on the pups registration document

As Amos says if they have been done they will be on the pups KC registration form, next to their KC name where it states re. health tests.  Can't remember the exact wording as I havent got a form next to me :d

You can phone the KC and so long as you have Poppy's details to hand including her KC NO. they will tell you  Love Sonja

If you look on the registration certificate it will detail the health tests the dog has had and the results. This will include your pups results if tested and those of the parents.
Sounds to me though as if you have nothing to worry about since the breeder has supplied copies of the results, many breeders don't, and it is not compulsary for breeders to supply such information.

Thank you
I actually found them on the KC registration document and it confirms all the tests carried out. Does anyone know why most people don't seem to have the elbow tests done. Our vet has advised that she should have these and it's not really much extra cost, and certainly no extra pain to the dog if done at the same time as the hips!!
