They will cast their coats if they don't get groomed regularly ie every other day or so. And I mean groomed right down to the skin. first brushed with a pin brush and then combed out using a wide toothed metal comb. They are also likely to cast when they are changing from puppy to adult coat. How old is she? I have Tibetan Terriers, in full coat and their coats are very similar to Lhasa's. If it doesn't get groomed, it will come out onto the carpet in clumps, or get scratched out. So get that grooming equipment in use and you should see the casting disappear :D

Thanks for replying i take much pride in grooming her coat i have all the correct tools for the job i groom her every day without fail maybe it is the puppy coat casting out she is 1 yr old next month, do you think when her full adult coat is in all this hair will stop its everywhere she is white so you see it on everything dont get me wrong i love her to bits and its not a big problem for me its just good to have more about the breed from someone who has experience with Lhasa's.

If thats the case, then it certainly sounds like it is her puppy coat changing. Do you find it felts/matts up quite quickly even though you are combing out thoroughly? She is certainly round about the right age to be changing. Fortunatley it doesn't last forever. You could try bathing on a weekly basis for a while, using a good quality dog shampoo, as this can sometimes help to speed up the process.
Good Luck

No its not matting up anymore its more the fluffy undercoat thats casting out the hard top coat is ok i was bathing her twice a month maybe it is the coat change. I'll try bathing her weekly and see how i get on i'll be bathing her tonight as she is going in to get spayed tommorrow I am really nervous I hope things go well i wont be worth a button tommorrow, so thanks very much for your advice.
