Today while walking down the road with two dogs after they had been for a run, I saw a staffy in the distance, unfortantly, I know not all staffies are dog friendly so I made sure I had my male under control because if anything looks at him in a dodgy way he think "oioi"  I was happily walking past and though, oh good this is a nice staffy" then all of a sudden it flew towards my bitch, my dog not taking anyof this went back :(  Luckily staff and my dog was both under control and got no-where near eachother (and nothing fases the bitch).  I then got home and read our local newspaper only to read that a young Shih Tzu had been attacked and eye badly bitten and owner also bit by trying to help her dog by a staff, the owner wouldn't give his name or address so nothing has been done about this dog :(  It's just sad that staff's get this publicity.  Maybe I should get the press to come to our ringcraft and see two male staffs in a hall with lots of other dogs being as friendly as possible! :D I got licked to near death and smotherd by one of them....My fault, I encouraged him! :D

We walked past a boxer the other day as soon as he saw Tyler he just sat down, Tyler walked past on lead and sniffed as he walked past and the dog went for him he just caught the top of his nose, no growls or anything totally unpredictable.

I dont think the probems are with the dogs them selves in a lot of cases its the owners that are the problem, you get the ones that truely love the breed and whant to do the very best for it and then you get the ones that just whant the dog because it makes them look tough, idont have anything against staffs but thats not to say i trust them or would fully trust any dog for that matter,my neighbours owned staffs where i used to live and even though we had good fencing up also lined with fir trees his dogs was constantly smashing their heads through the fencing just to get to my dogs no sooner was the fence repaired they would go at it again you can imagine my concern as my dogs are small they are shih tzu but luckily for me my neighbour was a responsable owner and looked after his dogs he sorted the problem out so in my case at least it was a happy ending, i dread to think what would have happened if he had of been one of the few owners that just dident care.
