does anyone else feel shocked at the numbers of dogs registered in the Uk every year? I have just been reading another post on here about the top 5 breeds, makes you really stop and think just how many dogs are bred in the Uk every year.
Does anyone else think this is too many? I think breeders should endorse their puppies more to try and bring numbers down, maybe that would help the rescue centres as well cos theyre allways full of dogs

Don't forget that the numbers of puppies registered is only the tip of the iceberg. :( There are probably as many unregistered purebred dogs as there are registered ones, and then there are all the crossbreeds and mongrels on top of that.

Impossible to say. There are so many private rescues as well as the official ones, and most have waiting lists. Half a million?
