In was talking to someone while out walking my dogs today and they had a staffy they said they are getting a blue KC reg one on sataday and were paying £800 for it as they have been told its very rare, is this normal price topay for one?
Normal price but a complete and utter rip-off in my and many other peoples opinion! Sad thing is people like the person you know pay it so people keep on breeding them and charging way over the odds for them. A friend of ours sells her dogs at one price no matter the colour.
I agree with luxnallsstaffs !!

same here iam worried when people buy these so called rare blues that all there seeing is the colour and pound signs for them i saw a blue staffy stud offered at £250 for a mating big money but its not doing the breeds reputation any good

its ridiculous that people spend that much purely for colour. just cos its a 'rare' blue doesnt mean it'll be a healthy one!

Also most blues are of poor quality :-(
There are quite a few about but not many in the show ring. They often have pale eyes/nails & look washed out.
I got my blue staffie 3 yrs ago for £500.00 (The same price as the other pups), but I spent allmost a year seeing blue pups that would have been no good for showing & they wanted lots more for them than for the other colours (which some were promising).
I would advise him not to pay it! But if he still wants to go ahead please tell him to check the parents have been eye tested & pref hip scored.
If I breed any blue pups they will be the same price as the others, any good for showing though will stay here - I am trying to improve the look of blues.
