Hi Frank,

I'm sorry I don't know what breed your puppy is but sometimes the shape and set of eyes can contribute to *weeping* and make certain dogs more prone to eye infections - more of a discharge.  Often it is the more extreme ends of the scale as in very almond shaped and deep set eyes eyes or particularly round and prominently set eyes :(

Think if it's a persistent problem I'd check with the vet anyway - in all likeliehood it is something quite straightforward but I always think eyes and ears (well, being truthful, the lot really :P ) are best investigated rather than self-diagnosed ;)

Regards, Teri

Thanks teri, she's a bullmastiff by the way, it's not an infection as the eyes are runny there's no discharge, i just wondered if it could lead to problems later on, i intend to speak about this to the vet when she goes for her next injection, just thought i would see what everyone else thought and if they have experienced this, i do know dogs do sometimes have a bit of water but hers are quiete ru nny but clear.  Maybe it is due to the shape and bits getting in there.
