Can anyone give advice on how to go about finding a foster home for my 2 St Bernards (3 year old dog and 2 year old bitch).  We are going abroad for 6 months but don't want to sell our dogs and its not possible to take them with us.  I would like them to stay together. 

Oh, I do wish I could look after them! I used to have a saint. I would contact your local St. Bernard club. They should be able to find you a good foster home.

I would contact their breeders in the first instance to see if they could help, but honestly it isn't fair to expect someon to have them for 6 months and then give them up, and you shoudl expect to pay for their keep and Insure them.
