Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club Sec. Mrs B Harding. Tel No: 01235 813749 would be your best person to contact

I think that good breeders have waiting lists for puppies. Beware, as I have heard that there are a few breeders churning out rather poor specimens. As Moonmaiden says, contact the breed club and take their advice :)

Daisy is right, there are a few breeders regularly churning out puppies at the moment, about 3 litters a year and not the best quality!
Best thing is to contact the breed club. I am also looking for a pup and I'm am in the process of becoming a member of the UK Toller club so I can hear news of any litters being planned. Since I want to show it's going to take a while to find my pup and I'm hoping that I should get it around summer 2006 - bear in mind I have been looking into getting a Toller pup for 2 years already!
If you are really dedecated to the breed you wont mind waiting :)

Contacts Mrs Harding, a very nice lady to talk to.  I have been slowly looking into Tollers myself for 6 years.  I would love a toller but waiting lists are about 2 years from a good breeder, by then I'm hoping to be in uni, hense why my research into the breed has been long and slow, I'm waiting untill I am able to own one and not leave it with my parents for 3 years!

They are a very demanding breed with the drive to work.  They need to be busy all the time.  If you get one I suggest that you train it in two or moe displins, this doesn't mean you have to compeat in anything at any level if you don't want to.

You sound like you have not yet done much, if any research.  I suggest you do alot on this breed, the breed club site is imformative and theres alot more on the WWW.  I would also suggest viseting breeders and owners of tollers so you can see them in their home environment.

If you can phone a breeder and get a puppy with acouple of months of then I would be very wary of getting one from them.

Overall though they are a wonderful breed in the ringt hands
