I have recently cut back on snacks for my dog as she is overweight. This afternoon her belly has been making noises. Is this because I have cut back on her food or something else?

Could be wind!,if she is used to a lot of food and then you cut back on it, she is making too much acid to digest the food, if you get my drift.
If you want to try and fill her up try some pasta, and give her more often meals, dont know how often you are feeding her now, but maybe whilst she is dieting put her onto 3 smaller meals a day then any unwanted acid is used up to digest the food, and no wind...:)

Heather,

I found that while I had Shelby on a diet it helped if I split her meals up into 3 or 4 feedings per day.  Cut back the gurgly stomach and she didn't roam the house looking as though she was starving.  :)

Charcoal tablets from the herbalist does helpw ith a rumbly tum.  Weims are very prone to wind and rumbly tums and the charcoal tablets sort it out immediately.  The charcoal absorbs the wind and any nasty gases in the tum, therefore helping the problem go away.

Hope this helps
