I remember the days when you would go to Crufts have a great day out and not have to worry about your dogs. We used to go home with bags and bags of freebies from the different stalls. I think all i got this year was little sample bags of Arden Grange. Even Pedigree aren't as generous as they used to be. I can't believe how much it's changed.

It's like a prison in there, i had to walk all the way around a hall to find a door where they would let me out with a dog when i had a dog and handler pass which you can get out on at anytime.

Although not been showing long compared to some people (been to crufts years now) it has chamged so much in that time?

Come back Crufts all is forgiven!!

Dont know about this year, but last year on the final day there were alternate announcements first asking for the terrier BOBs for the group and then stating that all halls except the main hall were closing and everyone should move all their belongings before they switched the lights off! The poor terrier exhibitors didnt know which way to turn! :(

Yes, you're right, it's changed a great deal over the years, with the dog-show side (its raison d'etre) being sidelined to make way for the trade fair. Very disappointing. Bring back the days when the dog show was in the centre and the stalls around the edge!

Thats what I love about the outdoor shows - as long as the weather is dry and not too sunny.

I remember showing William  as a puppy at Crufts  there was lots of freebies and room to sit at the ring side and enjoy the judging  we had that many freebies we wondered how we would get back to the car.now its like  a free for all queues for the toilet a mile long and no chance of a seat a friend who was showing this year was that deperate to spend a penny in between classes she had to ask a disabled friend for her pass and still feel guilty but she was desperate.
I wonder at the safety of all those people in one place I recon tickets should be limited for spectaters and when they are sold thats it.
after all its a dog show the trade stands should be limited too.

I was there on Thursday - usually the quietest day, and it was heaving. I did at one point wonder what would happen if there was a fire. Presumably some sort of check is made, but I really cant see all those people getting out safely, and not much chance for the dogs. As far as I am concerned, if you have to queue more than 5 mins for the loo, the place has too many people in!
