Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Anti depressants for dogs

My 11 y old Labrador Bitch Tara suffers from Lick Granulomas regularly and recently it was larger than the size of a 50p piece.  It has taken months of dressings and visits to the vets and has still not gone completely.  My vet has now decided to try Tara on a course of Anti-depressants to see if this will make any difference to her licking habits.  I have tried everything, the Elizabethan collars, you name it.  I just wondered if anyone else on the site has had a similar problem and can give me any advice on whether anti-depressants work or what else I could try.

Many thanks
