I am sitting here, very p****d off.  I have been waiting ages for Tia's hip scoring results to come back. Knowing that the committee only sit at certain times, I have been very patient.  But checking my bank statement I noticed the cheque has not been cashed. I rang the vets, plates were sent off following day, on their own because a batch had just been sent 2 days previously, with no-one booked in for another few weeks.  My vet contacted the VBA to find out if plates had been scored, to find out that have they have been mislaid.  I am now going to have to put Tia through another anaesthtic, which I really dont want to do because of b****y incompetance. It took 4 hours and 3 reversals to get her out of the last one.

How awful...cant you go to a vet who only sedates?

go to a different vet. sounds like your one is a bit incompetant

Hi MM, yes a signature has been submitted, so they have definately been received at the other end.

Sibernut, its not my vet who is incompetant, plates were recieved and logged at other end, but somehow were missplaced along with cheque.

Tia is a bit of a fighter when it comes to sedatives, and will resist as much as possible, to get a good score from her she needs a rubber mallet between the eyes. :D All my others are done on Seds.

It's bad enough that she should have to go through it again, I feel the VBA should be bearing the cost.  Have they offered to?

Not yet Isabel. My vet is dealing with them at the moment, and has been told to phone back on Tuesday. Apparently the person who deals with the initial receipts is off until then. All I can do now is sit and wait. (((((snarling and growling)))))

Had a phone call from BVA this morning, plates have been found. Such a relief.  They have said they will be processed at the end of next week.  So fingers crossed now :)

Excellent news Kay at least now your girl won't have to go through the whole process again!
