why not 2 puppies at the same time

The general consensus is that two puppies are more than double the hard work of one!  You will have to carry out all aspects of their training both individually and then the two pups together.  And then there is always the risk that they will bond more with each other than they will with you, and that just creates its own set of problems!  You will have difficulty finding a reputable breeder that will let two pups go to the same home for those exact reasons.  It is preferable to get a pup and if you want another, to wait until your first is at least 18months old to make it less stressful all round.
