We've had a FinePix F601 for nearly 3 years and are really happy with it. Don't know how similar it is to yours but as a make I believe it to be good.
If I find out more I'll let you know (got Which? mags all over the house and they tested digital cameras recently).

I have a fuji S5000 and love it. I had a fuji before that and loved that. I do like fuji cameras.
Helen

I've got a Fuji F710 have had 2 Fuji digi cameras before that, plus Sony, Olympus and Canon..........I always come back to Fuji, I think they are great little cameras, not too complicated and always get good results with them.

My OH is a pro photographer and has said that the camera you have bought is a very good camera.
With it's 5 megapixel capability and excellent lens quality, your camera will produce excellent results. Also, with a 256mb card, this should be sufficient for many photographs.
He also added to make sure you read the instructions thoroughly! <What view does He have of us women eh?!!>
He now wants me to add.............he hopes you have hours of fun!!! Feel welcome to PM if you would like any further advice.
Happy clicking!
5 megapixels will take excellant quality photos and also allow you to blow them up quite a bit without losing picture quality. I have fuji 310 3 megapixel camera and the quality is as good as a normal camera and i also like fuji as a make.
Ooooo yes I looked up & read some excellent reviews :D so installed it, then went to plug it in pc......don`t have the same connection tho :( :(
Only one in tower has little holes in it, one for camera has is slot sort of thing :( it has got one slot connection but thats being used for sat connection
Never mind going back in morning & will tell shop to change the connection or something

:D
Thanks guys, its going to be great when I can get to use ;) :D
ps Debs tell your oh we girls know a thing or 2, looks like this one here even managed to pick a good camera (don`t know how but don`t tell him that bit!)

:D
Christine, busy playing with new camera :D Spain

Might sound silly, but our camera plugs into a slot thingy on the front of the tower. I know every pc is a bit different but it might be worth a look !.
Val
Thanks Arched, just got up off me knees & no sign of a plug/slot/thingy anywhere on the front boo hoo hooo
Have to tell you its about 5 yrs old......probanly ancient in pc years but does everything I want & I`m terrified to trade it in for new model

:D :D :D
Christine, still waiting for camera to be charged, Spain!
:D

<< pps I`ll be the one at crufts too busy playing with camera & missing all the dogs!!!! >>

OK OK...OH says....
"It's called a USB and on the back of the computer, if you only have one slot (USB) you need to go to computer shop and buy a USB twin adapter (approx £10)"
Simple when ya know 'ow innit?! <scratching head>
Or a USB hub - I have a four port one.

Ice Cosmos....is this something one should be boasting about??!!!! hahahahaha!
:) No - its just rather than getting a twin adapter you could get a hub which gives you more ports - mine's actually gathering dust at the moment as I bought a new machine which has four USB ports on the board.
Ice I`ve got a hub please don`t tell me I need more, ones more than I cope with already?????????
Christine, Spain.
OK I know I`m going to regret this but come on.........tell me what is a hub and do you plug it in & if so where

Christine, Spain.
It merely converts one USB port into four (or however many are on the hub you buy) :) You just plug it into the existing USB port on the computer.
Ooo I`m going to be super clever when I go to shop tomorrow ;)
Thanks guys :)
Christine, whos on the loose with charged camera, Spain :D
Christine, Spain.
My hubby likes a port or 4 usually after xmas dinner with the cheese :D :D
Please I/cosmos give me a break I just about know what a port is never mind 4.....

:D

Easy peasy Debs!! So now i`ll be all sorted tomorrow, tell OH many thanks, nice to know what I`ll be talking about :D
*(approx £10)*
Oh no it won`t cost me that, not when I tell the shop how much cheaper I could`ve got it online!!!!! arghhhhhhhhh :( :(

Chrisdtine, I've just gone out and bought a Fuji finepix S5500 cos I decided I needed a better digi camera, and I'm really pleased with it.
Just one thing you need to know so you don;t waste the hours I did trying to get my pics onto the PC, when you plug it in it comes up as a removable drive ! Click on that and you will find your pics, I spent hours trying to find out where mine was then mentioned it to a friend and she told me hers is the same LOL
Oh very nice Ing, bigger n better eh?? :D
I have wasted a couple hours already trying to find pics ;( still can`t find them tho & I don`t get same message as you, mines *files corrupted or incompatable*!!!!!
Suppose I`ll just have to settle for taking pics with it for now cos If spend anymore time on it we`ll be coming without clothes

Still got to get suitcase down, then packed & everything else all sorted before we leave on Friday!!!
Christine, Spain
Had a few hics with the damn thing Debs ;) :D due to sat connection & place looks like cable city!!!
Cameras working now tho got quite a few picks only thing I can`t find them on the pc

Christine, Spain.
Hi. when u plug the cam in..try just going to My Computer. and look for a removable device in there.. it may be the last drive letter, eg drive E: u can then browse the memory card as if its a normal CD or harddrive. Hope this helps...
PS Fuji cams are great, i now have a S7000
