Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Recommended Leader Collar for pulling!!!
- By Guest [gb] Date 07.03.05 18:01 UTC
I am sure I remember reading on this Forum about a Leader/collar that was highly recommended.  It had an unusual name, I think the person even gave a link to the internet website where it could be seen and purchased.

I remember them saying that one size fits all and it goes comfortably over the muzzle without the risk of 'cutting into' the dog's muzzle.

Can anyone remember it?  I meant to keep it and forgot!!!

Thank you

The dogmatic is a great headcollar that doesn't dig in. However, it comes in different sizes.

Is the Gentle Controller the one you are thinking about?   I use them and find them good!

Here is a website for them (sorry still haven't mastered links!) www.doggiesolutions.co.uk

I use a Canny Collar which is a relatively new product. http://www.ultimateanimals.co.uk/acatalog/dog_gentle_leader_head_collar.html  They give you a good description of it, I think if I tried to explain it, then it would sound like some instrument of torture (it is NOT). It is designed not to put strain on the neck and shoulders. Hope this helps.

I use the dogmatic or gentle leader as both fit my dogs face better.  I did use the halti for years but my eldest dalmatian ended up wearing it like a headband which looked quite funny but obviously wasnt very useful.
