Hi
as long as your dogs are KC reg you can show them at KC shows.Try to find a local ring craft class(contact the kennel clubs for a list) and they will teach you how to show your dog.All you need to do then is to get some schedules(theres a list of shows on www.prodogs.co.uk) and send off your entries. The only show you can't enter yet is Crufts since you need to qualify.
Your dog needs to be 6 months old to be able to show but you can start training now
I would also suggest you try and go along to watch some shows in order to see what goes on

Crufts is this week why dont you pop along and see what showing is all about. You can buy Tickets on the door although I would try to avoid Saturday or Sunday if possible. Friday would be the best day as it is utility day and I am sure you will find Akita exhibitors who are happy to talk about their breed. The Kennel Club will be there and will be able to print you off a list if you get there early enough they did me last year for both ringcraft classes and also a list of local opens and champ shows. Its the most fun you can have with your clothes on :) :) :) Unless you lose!
