I have post before my 3 year old staff as endometreosis my vet advised when this was diagnosed that she would not get pregnant I have a 2 year old male staff and during her last season did not keep them apart however I am told that there is a chance she could still have a litter is there any body out there was has the same, this us Ruby's 4 or 5th season and aprt from the ist season at 9 months has always been with a male dog when in season as we really did want to have just one litter however I am thinking of getting her spayed in the next 2/3 weeks but I am worried that she might be pregnant its just over 4 weeks since the beginning of her season

How long ago was the season? Was she mated? How long ago.
You have three options.
1. Have the morning after injection if you are still within the time limits. It is not expensive in comparison to the expense of her having a litter.
2. Wait it out and have her scanned once she is at the 5 weeks pregnant stage. If she is you can either allow her to have the litter or..
3. Ask the vet to spay her and if there are pups in there he will dispose of them.

As an endometriosis sufferer myself I can't understand how this can be diagnosed in dogs without a laparotomy or op to track the endo down.

Endometriosis certainly doesn't mean you can't get pregnant, but does make it more difficult, not least of all because it makes timing tricky.  I've just had my bitch spayed and it had to be done 3 months after last season and half way to the next one.

I would be interested to know how this was diagnosed in your dog.  It is one of the most mis-diagnosed conditions in women and notoriously difficult to diagnose.
