I have a three month old boxer and have considered having at least one litter before having her fixed. I have been told that six months is a safe time to have her fixed but, I'm wondering what is a good age to let her have a litter. I have no desire to make money off of this I would just like to have one of her pupps before she is unable. any comments are welcome

If you want another puppy from her lines, much better to go back to her breeder for another pup than put yourself and your bitch through a welping. And please what ever you decided don't spey your bitch until she is mature, in a boxer about two years I would have thought, that is also the age at which to consider breeding from her, if that is what you decide to do. You know, there really is no need for your bitch to have a litter - ask yourself why you want puppies - for your own benefit? If your bitch came from a reputable breeder, they are always best to advise. If you're not sure about your breeder's reputation, don't think to breed that line on. We always try to ensure that we only breed with a view to contributing something positive to the breed we have, and believe me, it's a major undertaking.

Enjoy your young puppy as she is, and take one step at a time -

There is so much to consider before you even consider breeding from your bitch. You might find the following information on breeding of some interest :-)
