Hi there,

After you pup's injections have taken effect you should try and find a ring craft class locally - this is where you will get expert help on how to train your particular breed and also how to refine your own handling skills, ideas of appropriate attire and schedules available for future showing opportunities.

If your breeder is local to you they may well be able to advise, failing that if you give an approximate area on here for info purposes someone may well be able to recommend a good one (some are better than others, obviously ;) )  Additionally your vet, local library or the KC website may be able to point you in the right direction.

Pup's are only eligible for competition once they have reached 6 calendar months of age on the first day of the show (although at pre-approved breed club shows they can now be entered "not for competition" from 4 months of age - which is a good socialising experience for youngsters).

HTH, regards Teri :)
