Of hair around her butt and on her back. Does anyone have any suggeastions on what could cause this?? Thanks

A thyroid function test might be useful.

We actually had a thyroid test done on her. We paid $65.00 and the test came back thet her thyroid was fine. The vet really was no help at all. She told us it might be Allergies and that was the end of that. Sometimes those vets are a big joke. Makes me wonder!

Thyroid tests can be tricky to read, and often more than once test is needed to determine a proper level.  Boxers as a breed are one of the highest risk for thyroid disease.

Quite often skin and hair problems can be diet related.  If she's eating commercial food, perhaps you could try a natural diet for a couple of months to see if there's an improvement.  If you suspect underactive thyroid, kelp is good.
