How about picking a surname rather than a forname? Something like Smith, Jones, Cooper, Clancy (I know CKS called this!), Elliott, Benson, Bailey, Bentley - one of my dogs is called Riley!(but that's more after a car!)

Don't know about a King charles but I do know someone who called their Cavalier...wait for it....Meriadoc, sadly he is dead now but with all this renewed interest in the Lord of the Rings it seems quite apt. It was a bit of a mouthfull to call across the fields so often he just got called Merry but he was a lovely dog and Meriadoc seemed to suit him and the vet always called him by his full name and said it was lovely. Just a thought..you can laugh now!!

Hi:
They're supposed to be such loveable, friendly dogs - so how about "old softey." Or "butter" as in so sweet, butter would melt in her mouth ( or however the expression goes).
Bye,
Butter (I know, it's the same name as the one I suggested. Talk about hubris.)

I knew a really lovely king charles called kingston, and it suited him down to the ground. So many names to choose from though and it is difficult, it took me about 3 weeks to stick to a name for cleo! I like "what" as a name, and "Useless", though you'd feel a bit mean calling it out in the park! anything goes really, though i have found that 2 sylablos is best, rolls easier off the tongue when callling them.
Good luck and happy name hunting - let us know what you choose?

Hi Beany Baby
Did you choose a name for your CKCS? I'm not sure if I've missed it or not

?
Thanks.
Butter
