Hi,
Probably worrying for nothing, but thought I might bang out my fustration on c/d for your experienced veiws.
So far we have a temp of 37.5, down from 37.8-37.9 since Tuesday last week, not eating much since saturday, nesting behaviour, digging, panting, licking, for periods then deep sleep, started with these on Friday....although not prolonged enough for me to be convinced this is it. Small puppy movements visible, scanned for 7 puppies, slightly small for dates (i.e a couple of days....unsure really how accurate they can be) Soft motions ( certainly not diarreoh) since Friday too.
No straining, or uncomfortable behaviour, still quite happy to come for a good walk, although she dives under every deep hedge, reluctant to come out.( obviously prefers this nest to her warm whelping box...)

Very different from her first litter, where she whelped at 58 days from first mating. With the absence on any real nesting behaviour. (litter of 9, 6-10oz, all surviving) (not that I wanted a repeat performance.)

Your veiws appreciated

TOS admin( they are all booked)

I would wait until tommorow and see the vet again, especially if this is a breed or line that don't tend to go over dates.  Chances are she ovulated late and caught after the last mating.

I didn't have her scanned at the vet, it was a mobile scanner who told me she could be two days less than the last mating day.
I suppose I can only wait.
The breed is FCR.
She whelped early last time, but not all of them do, most go 63 or there abouts........

If you are really worried i would say go to the vets and have them have a listen. You may find getting out and the wonderful experience of being at the vets sets her off. One of my girls won't relax until she has had her last visit, just a check up. I dont scan mine, i just have the vet feel and wait for the hearbeats. Works for me.
