I have been looking for my lovely English Setter dog for 11 months now - someone has him, and I have to keep on looking to find him.
In the frustration of trying to wade through the unco-ordinated authorities and unhelpful Police to enquire about my dog, I soon realised how easy it is for dogs to be taken and not seen again, and moved around the country.
There are hundreds of us that are in the same position, and the crime goes un-noticed. You think it cant happen to you but it most certainly can.
Together with 2 other women owners, we have developed a pressure group to make the authorities sit up and listen. We want to SHOUT about this crime so other owners will be more cautious and the authorities will act.
An early day motion was presented in the House of Commons yesterday about us - please read our website, see our stories, write to your MP- and help us make a change
Thank you
