I have 2 litter sisters aged 2yrs 8mths. Both are in season, one about a week further along than the other. My problem is that the normally loving sisters have turned into the dogs with attitude. Alice is very flirty and playful at the moment and Amy keeps on snarling and snapping at her. They circle each other, raise up ontiptoe and then go for each other. Please tell me that this is normal and they will be back to normal after their season. By the way I also have mum in season and George who has had the op. Neither sisters are taking any notice of these two. Also I have not had all dogs in season together before.

It is perfectly normal. If you have a crate I would crate one for an hour or two and then swap them around, maybe with a blanket over so they dont growl at each other through the bars - or keep them separate in some other way. They may possibly get into a "proper" fight if you let them continue together. Almost certainly they will return to normal temperament when the seasons are finished, but if they do have a fight, its possible they wont. Definately separate them if you are not there to supervise - dont go out and leave them together.
