Hi, I have a GSD girl who is coming up to 10 months.  I'm starting to get concerned because she still has not come into season.  Is this normal because my other GSD girl got her 1st season when she was around 6-7 month.

Each bitch is different, one of my GSD's didn't come in until she was 15 months and after that used to only come in once a year until she was spayed :) Don't worry it will happen when she is ready. But if you are that concerned about it speak to your vet.

I have heard that bigger breeds do come in later, but never having had a smaller breed dog I don't know how true this is.

A friend of mine has a GSD who comes into season every 4 months, and another who goes 13 months between. They are all different guest and only time will tell.
