I would only use the Hilife morsel type food as treats for training.  If you look on the labvel it is loaded with sugars in the form of syrups etc, which are definately not needed by dogs and could cause problems, and certainly are bad for teeth.

Because they are sweeet dogs so like the food, but so do kids like sweets and wsould eat them in preference to meat and two veg :D

Go for a beter food.

My own favourites are Arden Grange (Premium food,b ut costs less than many copetitiors).  A cheaper one but mainly available from feed merchants like Horse feed places is Autarky.  this is mid priove range with beneficial herbs added and a reasonably high animal protein content (as opposed to 15% meat in many cheaper foods).

Other god British rangesa are produced by Wafcol, Skinners, Dodson and Horrell (who now own Autarky).

Checked the website and even this canned food has a high amount of sugar in the form of fructose.
