My Labrador is well but today he managed to produce a dark green poo. It was of normal consitency I can't think of anything different that I have given him to eat. Is this a sign of him lacking something in his diet i.e vitamins? Julie.

Not necessarily Julie. More likely that he has done something which Labradors love to do, found himself something to eat! If he is bright and normal I would not be too worried at this stage. If it's still as green tomorrow and he's still bright then I would give it till Monday latest to clear. If it's still green by Monday I would take a sample to the vet. I would not be surprised for the colour of something he's eaten to stay in the system tomorrow but I would start getting concerned if it was still there much after that. If you have any concerns at all, or he starts to appear off colour then I would not wait any longer.

Regards, John
