I feel like a right wally posting this but I am seriously considering hypnotherapy for my fear of frogs.  I am so petrified of them its past a joke.  Has anyone tried hypnotherapy for whatever reason and did it work? or has anyone got any other ideas to help?

There are other forms of therapy used for these kinds of phobias, why not ask your GP what is available locally as he may be aware from feedback of the kind of results different practioners are achieving?  Maybe you could get it on the NHS if it is causing you considerable grief.

I am about to start therapy for my fear of travel. sounds stupid , I felt stupid going to the doctor about it but he was so understanding, I cannot be driven, I cannot get on a bus train aeroplane or anything else that moves, it has made my life a misery, but on monday I am starting therapy to try and help me, I have even got myself a passport, I am determind to succeed.

I don't know much about it, but i suspect you would need a "good" one.
I did watch some of Paul Mackenna on tv and it was amazing. He cured one woman who was terrified of spiders, one who was scared of going out, and so on. He even was able to really help one woman who was in  a lot of pain that never went. He didn't cure the pain but did get it to levels where she herself could manage it and that in itself was amazing.
He did all this in the space of a couple of hours working with the people. But on the other hand you do hear of people who go to the hypnotist for say, smoking and it doesn't do any good for them.

I hate mountains and when you've got friends in Southern Spain who live near so many of them it's hard work.  Once I drove a friend there and I cried all the way up the mountain and it took me about 4 hours for just over an hours drive.  Stopped after 4 hours and phoned my friend to get him and another friend to pick us up.  Wouldn't mind, but we were only 10 minutes away from his house, didn't know that at the time though :d

I would love to try and do something about it because I'm so ill by the time I get to the house and can't do anything until the next day.
