Can anyone tell me if you need a pet passport for Ireland?  I want to do the Munster Circuit in August this year for the first time.

No PP is needed but if you are going to shows with Green starsas opposed to CAC I think you have to register your dogs with the Irish KC

Thanks for that Moonmaiden not sure which shows we are doing yet and if it's green stars or CAC I'm fairly new at showing and will have to try to find out which shows offer which awards.

Yes Moonmaiden is correct you do have to register you dog with the Irish Kennel Club. I have not done the circuit myself, but know a few who have and they all had a great time.

Many thanks have contact the Irish Kennel Club they are sending out the forms to register the dogs with them.

I did the circuit a few years, travelled over a thousand miles, in cold weather !  Nowhere near as good as the shows here, they are just like little open shows outside, nothing like our champ. shows, but I did enjoy it.  Hoping to go again this year :d

no  pet passport needed  but you do need to register the dog with I.K.C
If you dont reg and you win you will be disqualified so it would be a good idea to do it a.s.a.p.as it takes about 6 to 8 weeks for registration to go through
It is a brilliant week, five shows in all and if you have rough collies the championship show is on sunday after the circuit
