Has anyone ever travelled to crufts by train? I was wondering how easy it would be with timing etc.  We are going to crufts on Thursday and Saturday but will have to come home to Scotland on the Friday as my daughter [who is also doing obedience and show handling] has been chosen to represent her school in a poetry competition. If we have to take the car we will but would like to look into other means of transport. A coach would'nt be an option due to the amount of hours it takes and the fact that you have to wait till the end of the show to get home. Any suggestions would be welcome.

I had a look on the Scotrail website and I don't think there is a train that will get you to Birmingham before 9.00. You will probably have to leave the night before.  We've just decided to drive down early in the morning, leaving home about 2.30am. 5 and a half hours there, so hope it's worth it.

Tried to do it the first year I was there nightmare could not get anything connecting

Will maybe just have to do the car then, at least we can have  a nap whne we need to. Thanks for the help.
