Have to tell you all how chuffed I am with Echo :) His recall training is progressing well, although I do keep it low key walking along the paths not running in fields yet. The other night he was off lead half his walk and came running as soon as called ( hot dogs are marvellous!). I called him back when other people appeared or dogs to avoid playing about or a fight. Then a dog who has attacked him a few times appeared off lead on the path and came right over ( owner is up the hill standing and watching). Remembering that this one " only attacks dogs on leads" according to his owner, I left Echo loose and tried not to panic. They sniffed and growled and as the hackles came up, I called Echo, he came running and we toddled along. What a good dog :) Needless to say much vigilance is required now the bold boy is gaining confidence, and the washing line is employed. Im very proud of him for learning good dog manners and that Mum is safety.

See - he's living up to his name - and coming back to you!

How is Silverback getting on with him now - are they coming together?

Never doubted it for a minute! I'm having much more success keeping Busby close than I did with Sparky at his age, mainly thanks to another "Lorelei tip" - the air kong :).
Waiting for it all to start getting "more interesting" as adolescence kicks in over the next few months.

Mummys best boy, you've only had him a short while and he's using his loyalty and love for you already :)

Somebody once told me, "they don't do nuffing for nuffing".....bit like kids really, except dogs don't want the latest computer game and if they did, I wonder what it would be??
