Can anyone help? Does anyone know of a breeder who breeds American Labradors/Larger size Labradors in the UK? Please contact us at nicola548@hotmail.com.

Not if they have any sense! Why would anyone deliberatly breed outside the breed standard? And dont tell me the standard has changed because it it identical in height to the very first standard in 1916. Don't forget it was the AKC who changed their breed standard, and also don't forget that at the bottom their standard is the same as ours. it is just that they allow a higher top limit.

If you want a Labrador they buy a well bred Labrador bred to the standard!

Thing is WH, there are plenty of Labradors towards the top end of the breed standard but why would anyone deliberately try to breed over? My Anna never stopped growing when she reached the top so if I was mating her I would have been looking towards a rather smaller stud dog.

Anyone who is deliberately breeding outside the breed standard, to me, raises the question, what on earth have they got that breed for in the first place? There are plenty of other dogs, both larger and smaller than the Labrador. Maybe one of these would be a better choice.
