My dog has yet ANOTHER infection and has been prescribed Synulox antibiotic.
On the label it says 30* amoc/clav 250mg three tabs, 2 times daily.
Do you know anything about these tabs, i don't know why i just have a worry about them.
Also forgot to add - does the dose sound right, she is 12 stone and 17 months old

Synulox is a good general, broad-spectrum antibiotic.
:)

It worked wonders on one of my girls once. She had glaucoma and after having these for a short while (not prescribed for this problem but for something else) her eye went nearly to normal and she never had any problems with it afterwards and I didn't use the drops for her eye. Don't know whether it was anything to do with the Synulox but it was too much of a coincidence. People who had known my dog for years couldn't tell which was her bad eye.
My vet prescribes them all the time and I have even given them to my girl when she was feeding her pups when she got a infection with no ill effects. My youngest girl had a very bad absess that burst and she was on them for 3 weeks with no side effects. As with all drugs I am sure there may be some people who have had bad effects but personally they have done wonders for my lot. Try not to worry.
I know the dosages I have been given according to what they are being treated for they all weigh roughly the same. I have been given 1.5 for a 25 kg dog sorry dont know what that is in pounds and also 1 for the same dog 3 times a day.
