My sisters dog ( big dog ) attacked my westie and she had a bite on her side, she had to go to the vet and the vet opperated on it and cleaned the biten erea and stitched it up ( originally it was the size of a 50p piece ) she had a cut about three inches long with drains, like strws in.

Well the other day the cut opened and the vet said it was because the flesh was breaking down, looked far worse from the original bite. They said they cant sew it back up but will wait for the flesh to die back and put a sort of sponge that takes the infection away and then after a few days stitch her back up. She is having to stay at the vets all this time already two days ( we had her back after the original opp with tablets.

Has anybody had this before and is my little dog going to make it through,

We are dealing with my sisters dog by way of training etc and it was an accident.
