We are looking for a jack russell pup for our daughter, however we do not want to pay alot of money as the dog or bitch will only be a pet not for showing, we would be quite happy with the runt of the litter or a pup that is not up to show standard, if you have any ideas or can help with the matter we would be very grateful, we are in worksop which is classed as notts, but we are actually about 15 miles from sheffield, thanks sara and peter.  Please email either one of us on sara@peterallsop.co.uk

Short-legged Jack Russell aren't KC recognised, and can only be shown at companion shows and those organised by hunts, etc, so the showing aspect doesn't really come into it. Your best bet is to either look in the Free-ad papers (where you're more likely to get pet-bred ones) or in papers such as the Shooting Times. However pups from those litters are likely to have a high working instinct and may not make the most suitable pet.
