Hello

i have a chocolate labrador bitch, who is absolutley gorgeous. She is 8 months old now and is having her first season.

It has been going on for over 10 days now - how much longer will it last?

Please help....

Please be aware that wehn teh bleeding stops that is the stage wehn most bitches will be most fertile, adn it is best to err on the side of caution and keep her well away from any male dog for up to a week past the 21st day.  some bitches bleed throughout the season, but normally they bleed a few days, then the colour gets paler at about teh time they are ready for amting and gradulaly tapers off,a dn the swelling of the genitals decreases.  She will never be as neat in that area as before the season, but things will shrink down and the season will end.
