We have an English Pointer. During her first year, we feed her Eukanuba puppy food (dry). She seemed a bit finicky about it. At one year old we tried Pro-plan. It was fine, but a big hassle to get to the only nearby place that sold it. We did notice that our pointer shed alot less while on Pro-plan, but I just assumed it was the season changes and she was getting older. A couple of months ago, we switched her back to the Eukanuba because we can get it locally. But, now the heavy shedding is back.
Is there anything we can add to the food that may help with this issue?

I would change the food back. You can get Proplan delivered I beleive. it is best to feed the food that gives the best condition, and the state of the skin and coat are major idicators of hwo good the food is for that dog.

I agree, it sounds like she doesn't enjoy the Eukanuba as much either :)

Check out my post under "springer puppy feeding" I copied an article that says to add moisture(broth) to dry food to turn around shedding.
I looked at the post. I think I will give this a try. I realized dogs are going to shed. I know this breed can shed a great deal. But because I saw a difference by changing brands of food, I thought there could be some things we can do to help reduce it. It would simpler probably to change back to foods, but I did not think changing them back and forth a lot was good for the dog.
