Are you aware that there is an alternative treatment involving implanting gold beads in the neck that appears to have some very good results with some dogs?

I have had a Dobe with Wobblers.  I think treatment depends on the severity of the disease in your dog.  I got my Dobe knowing he had it and he improved no end just by a proper diet and care.  He was never in pain until the end, the last couple of weeks or so when he weakened and stiffened.  For the last year he had Metacam which helped a LOT.  My dog didn't need invasive surgery, surgery that carries NO guarantee, however saying that, I know of somebody who had one that was operated on and it was a HUGE success, I may be able to put you in touch if you want me to.
