
Well if a our club secreatry behaved like that then I would complain to the clubs committee!!!
All they should comment on is the fact that you abide by the clubs rules regarding breeding and homing practice, doing the relevant health tests and are reputable, no opinons on the stock of other breeders should be made, as I would say that was most unethical.
Our club has a puppy/forthcoming puppy list.
It used to be a bity adhoc, and if there were no pus around then they got a list of breeders, trtouble was some had stopped breeding years ago, some only bred once in 5 years or so, and some people newer to the breed weren't included at all.
The current system works very well, it is asked that breeders advise on a 12 month rolling basis of their breeding plans (likely month litters planned for), so if there are no pups currently available prospective owners have a chance of getting on a waiting list.
So anytime someone contacts the secretary they will be sent details of current and future litters planned in the coming 12 months.
