hi there i am thinking of getting either a bolognese , bichon friese or a cotton de tulear. my partner has asked me to wait a year or so and look after friends dogs in the mean time so i a prepared for a dog of my own. i am looking for breeders in scotland (i live in edinburgh). i am studying at university so my time at home varies and is rather flexible to have a dog in my life. i am interested to hear from breeders and if they could give me a rough estimate on puppies that would be excellent. my email address is katemills85@hotmail.com

Hi, your best bet would be to get in touch with the Breed clubs to enquire about recommended breeders and puppy lists, as reputable breeders rarely have to come to potential owners.  Please be advised that you will more than likely have to be prepared to travel and also go on a waiting list and that these breeds of dogs require a big commitment as regards grooming!  Also, as regards Coton de Tulears, there are very few of them in the country and should you manage to track one down, you should be expecting to pay somewhere between £1500-£2000 - hope you're not too much of a poor student! :)  Bichons I believe would be around the £500 mark (I may be wrong though) and Bologneses can be up to £800 according to petplanet, but that could be out of date.  Your more likely to get an accurate idea of cost by speaking to the breed clubs:
