Just back from my afternoon walk with my four and on our way back, we came across our very first staffy! Very cute and mad as a hatter! Took a liking to my Robbie, she was chasing him in circles up and down the hill! She did get a bit snappy with him (in play) so I removed Rob, and had to end up taking her back down the hill to her owner as she didn't seem to have the best recall with her-although her owner did tell me she was only 15months old, so more than likely teenage rebellion and over excitement. But she was a lovely little dog and I've glad I've eventually met one, there aren't that many up our way! :)

Our 10month old tends to run around in circles like that wagging her tail and bum as fast as is possible but doesnt go all the way up to other dogs now like she used to fortunately. Her recall is great and has got better as she has matured. We were lucky in the respect that we always saw the same people and that was since she was a pup so we knew the owners and their dogs didnt mind if she went up to them because we had asked them. It seemed like an education for them because most were under the impression that all Staffs were nasty and when they met her they were amazed, our bit for the promotion of the breed! She never has got snappy with other dogs not even in play though. I must admit that when she was younger and still prone to have periods when she would ignore us if she saw someone we would put her on the lead straightaway just in case. Even with people she knew.

Hi Luxnallsstaffs, there are always positive comments on here about Staffords, although sometimes you just have to read betwen the lines :)
And Kay I am pleased you met a Stafford - they are shall we say "lively" to say the least.
