you could contact the manufacturer of the food you will feed them on, or just makeone yourself, i have compiled a little folder, with an info pack about my breed and myself, a diet sheet, and in there i will put the pedigree and kc documents, then you could give each owner some food, maybe a toy, and a peice of blanket with mum or litter mates smell is always nice.  Oh and another thing i have been thinking of doing is giving the new owners a selection of pics of their pup , but im not great with a camera !

Oh yes forgot to add about a Breed leaflet (our breed club do one about the breed as Pets), Photos of parents, Leaflet about a Good book on the breed etc etc. Of course advice on feeding.

The items I find very important to give are the BVA leaflets.  It is no good the new owners knowing parents Hip Scores and Eye Tests if they don't know the implications of them.  Surprisingly having spoken to quite a few breeders few think to give these articles, and the ones entiltled for dog owners are easy to understand.

The eye one makes the point that there are Important Eue diseases, and common eye diseases but thankfully few Important common ones :D  Also it shows the decrease in PRA in collies since the eyes chemes to prove even if we can't detect carriers by eye testing the number of affected has reduce from to less than 10% of what it was in that breed alone.

It also points out that it is no guarantee that good hips and clear eyed stock will produce all clear pups.

Ssome dog food companies do puppy packs that give leaflets with basic info and mostly advertise their products.  Most breeders will maybe use these but make upm their own packs.

Mine always include:

A piece of Vetbed (1/4 of the large piece i.e. 20 x 30 inhes),
A Cotton Webbing half check collar that will last to 6 months,
My favourite Woven Rope Lead, mase by 'Outhwaites',
Sherleys Dog Book,
BVA Health Scheme Leaflets on Hip Dysplasia and Eye Diseases,
A months supply of the food the pupos have been eating,
Luxway Canine Supplies Mail order Catalogue (for any items they might need as the Pet chain stores choices are very limited),
Membership Form for our Breed Club,
Some Old Dog Papers (for adverts for Crates and Dog Shows and general interest),
Sales Agreement,
Pedigree
and of course the Pups Registrations.
That is all I can remeber off the top of my head

I buy my dog food direct from Burns.  If you have a litter and wean the pups onto mini-bites, they send you a free 2kg bag of mini bites along with a puppy pack for each pup in the litter, and if the new owners buy food direct from Burns during the first 12 months, they credit the breeder account with the exact same Free of Charge..........so if they buy a 7.5kg bag, then you will get a 7.5kg bag of your choice free of charge.  I also write up my own puppy info sheet, re. worming, injections, puppy sales contract,  feeding quantities and amounts etc. 5 generation pedigree and KC documents!

Probably something else but I've got 11 howling pups in the kitchen waiting for lunch...........lol.  so I can't concentrate at the moment!
