my pups are 3 and a half weeks now and have today tried lapping from a saucer,and got on quite well-is this an appropriate time to start-everything i have read advises slightly varying times,They are doing well and the bitch is a bit less interested in feeding herself as they have their teeth coming through and sharp claws !!(i do trim them),I plan to start weaning at about four and a half weeks.thankyou.

I start my litters on a teaspoonful of scraped beef at three weeks, so yes, no problem getting them lapping now.
